Dance 1A & 1B
Senior School / Year 11 (1ADAN1BDAN)
The first semester unit focus for this course is exploring the components of dance and the second semester unit focus for this course is dance as entertainment.
Within this broad focus, teachers select learning contexts that tap into the interests of their students and build upon the understandings they have already acquired.

Dance for Dancer!
This vibrant dance course is intended for students who have previous dance knowledge, skills, and technique. It is designed to build upon your technical skills, contemporary understanding and choreographic ability. You will be given the opportunity to perform professional choreography routines and self devised works, in the Arts Arena and professional venues.
Excursions to watch and review live dance performances
will also be an important aspect of the course. This
course is a full year course and leads to selecting 2A/
BDAN in year 11. -
Year 10 Dance 2 (Semester)
Senior School / Year 10 (10ADAN2)
For true groovers! If you are into great music with
phat beats and want to extend your movement skills,
this course is for you. We will explore jazz, street and
hip hop – invited guest artists will come into the class to improve your techniques. You will be given the
opportunity to perform and view live performances. Be
prepared to be fitter stronger, more confident and up
on stage – this is a performance art! This is a single
semester unit.
